The Soundbeam is an amazing instrument - used by musicians with Physical Disabilities and children, it also has great potential for use by those with Learning Disabilities too..., well anyone, really... they will tell you if there's one being used near you. |

This is where I first encountered the Soundbeam.... The Drake Music Project was set up to enable people with a disability to make music through modern technology, and now has centres all around the U.K. |

This site is based on Sound Therapy (as opposed to Music Therapy). I have found it to be a very powerful tool - to be treated with respect ! Features the recordings of Arden Wilken, who has rediscovered this long-used therapy. This music takes a bit of getting used to, as it is not written to be 'entertainment', but it is worth persevering ! |

midi is still one of the best ways of adapting instruments and computers to be used for music by people with a disability. These guys are totally up to date with what is achievable and will even build to order. |
